I work independently as a documentary and portrait photographer.

Through my photographic work, I tell visual stories about people, places and our connection to nature.
I am fascinated by the wild, the free and the unspoilt.

I started out in photography back in the analog days and spent countless hours in the darkroom and the color lab while I was studying photography in Munich. To this day, I remain captivated by the craftsmanship and the slow process involved. An internship at the international photography agency Magnum Photos in Paris sparked my passion for portrait and documentary photography.

As part of my second passion, I volunteer as a trained mountain hiking guide in the Alps.

Being on the move is my greatest source of inspiration.
With my eyes, my ears, my feet and in my mind.
