Katrin Diesner is an independent portrait and documentary photographer with a strong interest in people and nature. Her focus is on sustainable topics and stories about our connection to nature.

Growing up in a family full of natural scientists, she chose an artistic approach to nature. Through photography, she tries to capture the beauty of silence in the honesty of nature.

Katrin studied photo design at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich and lived the buzzing city life in Berlin and Paris before moving to the foothills of the Alps in Southern Germany.

There she became a passionate mountain hiking guide, always in search of the last patches of wilderness and the scent of adventure. Her favourite place to be is outside... in deep forests, wide meadows, high mountains, quiet lakes and by the wild sea.
